Vs 1 Grassroots Burning, as I slide down this hill. Don't know which parts to hold onto,
Never have I felt so far from what is real. Sails have fallen, south wind is gone

Chorus: The truth keeps flying, the lies keep lying, the days keep floating on the breeze, like a winsome hope in thee.

Vs 2 My middle ground is which ever side I feel, Seems unfair but that's the way it is.
This mid-life exposure, I don't care for. Seems like life has lost it's appeal.

Vs 3 The hurt I've caused others, is the only hurt I bear.
